Clinton Township, MI – Central States Dermatology Services, LLC (“DOCS”) announces a data incident that impacted some protected health information stored on its network.

On or about November 27, 2025, DOCS identified suspicious activity in its network and immediately began an investigation with the assistance of third-party specialists.  The investigation determined that certain DOCS information was accessed without authorization between approximately November 19 and November 27, 2025. Therefore, DOCS is working with third-party data specialists to conduct a review of the impacted data to determine the type of information contained therein and to whom the information relates.  While the review is ongoing, the type of information potentially impacted, which varies by individual, may include first and last name and one or more of the following: address, email address, phone number, date of birth, Social Security number, treatment/diagnosis information, prescription/medication information, dates of service, provider name, medical record number, patient account number, Medicare/Medicaid ID number, health insurance information, and/or medical billing/claims information. In response to this incident, DOCS is working with third-party specialists to investigate and implement additional security precautions. DOCS also notified law enforcement and is reviewing its policies and procedures related to data protection. DOCS has no reason to believe any information has been misused as a result of this incident. If you have questions about this incident, please call 513-813-1488.
