Good News in the Neighborhood Celebrates ‘A Good News Christmas’

PALATINE, IL — Good News in the Neighborhood, a vibrant multi-ethnic, Bible-teaching church in Palatine, invites the community to celebrate “A Good News Christmas” through a series of special events and gatherings throughout the holiday season. The church will host Christmas Eve services and various family-friendly events designed to help people pause, breathe, and remember the hope found in Jesus.

In a season that can quickly fill with noise and hurry, Good News in the Neighborhood is creating meaningful moments that point the community back to the good news of great joy announced on the first Christmas night.

“This year, we’re inviting friends, family, and neighbors to gather for meaningful moments that remind us of the hope we have in Jesus,” said a church representative. “Christmas is about pausing to remember the good news of great joy, and we’d love for our community to join us in celebrating.”

Christmas Eve Services

Throughout the Christmas season, Good News in the Neighborhood is hosting several special events designed for families and the community, including:

Sunday Services Throughout Advent

The church invites the community to join them every Sunday morning throughout the Christmas season for regular worship services at 8:30 AM, 9:45 AM, and 11:15 AM.

Programs for children and youth are available during Sunday services:

• Nursery and Preschool: Available at all services

• Elementary: Available at 9:45 AM and 11:15 AM

• Junior High and High School: Available at 11:15 AM

Good News in the Neighborhood is a multi-ethnic, Bible-teaching, life-giving church located in Palatine, Illinois. The church is committed to becoming and bringing the Good News to the community through authentic relationships and practical faith.

Founded with a vision to serve the diverse Palatine community, the church describes itself as neither political nor fussy, but serious about bringing Good News to the neighborhood. Good News in the Neighborhood offers regular Sunday services at 8:30 AM, 9:45 AM, and 11:15 AM, with programs for all ages including nursery, preschool, elementary, and youth ministries.

The church also hosts the Palatine Prayer Club, which meets every Wednesday at noon in person and at 7:00 PM online, providing a welcoming space for the community to gather for prayer and connection. Additional ministries include Good News Kids, Teen Crew, Good News Outreach featuring the Good News Truck that distributes free coffee and ice cream throughout the community, and Monday evening services.
