The IMAT 2024 is finally done. Most of you who just took the test are probably experiencing a mix of emotions at this point. While we still need to wait until the scores come out, you can take a look at the IMAT 2024 paper. All the correct answers are placed as option A.

IMAT 2024 Brief Section Analysis
The IMAT 2024 was quite similar to previous years, but some things do stand out as different.
Firstly, there were no critical thinking questions this year in the logical reasoning section. Critical thinking has always featured in the IMAT, its removal this year may have come as a surprise for many.
Reading Skills and Knowledge Acquired During Studies was fairly similar to last year. This section did however feature a question regarding understanding about English grammar. This is the first time this has happened.
Biology was also fairly straightforward this year. The questions were generally easier than in previous years, with far less complicated questions. There was also a complete lack of anatomy and physiology questions. Cell biology, biochemistry, the central dogma and genetics were heavily featured in this exam.
Chemistry had a more typical level of difficulty as compared to previous years. This year’s paper had more calculation questions than usual. Overall, the questions were phrased in a more straightforward and easy way to read compared to usual.
Physics and Math were quite similar to the previous year’s exam. This year there were 7 math questions and 6 physics questions.

Overall, this exam can be said to be one of the easier IMAT exams we have seen in the past few years. This is almost entirely due to the biology section featuring very straightforward question types.
IMAT 2024 Results
The following dates are good to take note of…
On the 26 of September, the anonymous results will be published. You will not see your name written anywhere, but your barcode will feature alongside your score.
On the 3 of October, the official results will be released. You will then know your score for sure.
On the 10th the ranking will start and you will hopefully receive your admission to medical school. Please note that EU students will have multiple entry rounds, so even if your score is not high enough on this date for entry, you can still remain in the competition.
