GFS specializes in fire-retardant treatments for wood products and specialty materials serving customers across the Southeast and supporting projects nationwide. Through this partnership, GFS will integrate CitroTech’s inhibitor into its treatment capabilities and pursue new applications for farms, equine facilities, livestock operations, outdoor structures and other environments where effective fire protection is critical to protecting people, animals and property.

Unlike pressure-treated lumber, which relies on chemicals such as borates that can weaken wood fibers, CitroTech’s citric acid-derived formulation is engineered to penetrate at the molecular level, helping prevent ignition without compromising strength or performance.
